Thursday's Football Picks

Tonight, Nov 12, is a big night for football and gambling. We have 3 college games plus one big pro game on the slate tonight. I hit a big one last night for 10 units with Central Michigan's beatdown of the Toledo Rockets, covering the -17.5 line. My first pick today will be on the Bowling Green at Miami-Ohio.

Last week, Bowling Green came back to score a touchdown for the win, and the back door cover, at Buffalo. This happened with under a minute left in the game. BGSU is only 2-5 ATS in it's last seven with one being last week and the other against an abysmal Ball St team. Miami-Ohio, on the other hand, is 5-1 in its last 6 ATS including only a 5 point loss to league leading Northern Illinois at home. Take the 3.5 points here with Miami-Ohio. 2* game

The other MAC game tonight is Ball St at Northern Illinois. After Central Michigan's big win last night, Northern Illinois has to win tonight to keep up their hopes for a piece of the MAC crown. They are set up to face Central Michigan for a piece of it at the end of the season. Ball St is fucking terrible. Their only win was a 2 point victory against winless Eastern Michigan (not even covering the spread). Bet against them every chance you get. N. Ill -17 3*

The Big East match-up is also my game of the night. It pits the South Florida Bulls at Rutgers. Rutgers is favored by 3.5 points and I'm willing to lay them against this Bulls team. S. Fla has been historically bad outside of the state of Florida. Their last trip outside the state resulted in a 41-14 shelacking at Pitt. Rutgers game against Pitt, albeit at home, ended with Pitt winning by 7 and covering the 6 point line. The game was a lot closer than that. Expect the crowd to be fired up with a big bowl game on the line. Take the home team, Rutgers. 5*

Finally, the NFL game of the night. The Chicago Bears travel to San Francisco to play a big game for both teams. However, it is a lot bigger for San Fran as the NFC West title can still be had while the Vikings seem to be running away with the NFC North crown. FootballOutsiders.com has Chicago as the 24th best team although their record is 4-4. Chicago's defense is awful and couldn't stop anyone from running a train on their momma, much less a NFL running back. Frank Gore will have a field day much like Cedric Benson did a couple of weeks ago against the Bears. And although Kurt Warner threw 5 TDs against them last week, the Cardinals offense was opened up by the running game of Tim Hightower and Beanie Wells. The Bears will fall behind early and force Jay Cutler to bring them back and we all know how Cutler forces the ball. Expect the home team to have a big night in a big game. Take the 49ers -3.5 (buy down to 3). 4*

I have a bone to pick with this latest Chase credit card commercial that they've been fucking pimpin on ESPN lately (Chase Sapphire). This is the one which depicts a beautiful older woman floating into the room with a new dress on. The husband describes how they could take a vacation with the points accrued from their expenditures. The vacations pictured looks like New Orleans, somewhere where they can get a boat, and New York. These vacations are probably in the range of 1,000 to 2,000 dollars (guessing). However, the wife continues to tell him that they cannot go on a vacation with the points until she reveals that she bought the dress with them. If I was the husband, I would be fucking livid. We could have gone on a very nice, expensive vacation for free and you spent the points on some fucking designer dress that you'll wear once. I would just tell that bitch to be getting that dress off and we will be fucking in whatever position I want. With the lights on, too. Sorry, just had to rant there.

Also, I will be taking on college b-ball probably next week. Don't fuck with NBA if you like to win, especially this early in the season.
